Smartphones without Smartsouls

O man! You called yourself modern
Because you designed Smartphone
And you navigate the world at a click of a button
Yes! You bragged for being superlative
In technology and commerce
And for your life devoid of essence
Achieving a factious like miracles— hence.

Then you sit back and said “I eased life.”
Make it full of joy, casting out grief
For sure man created the best cloth for his body
The best house to live happy
To live long life with no agony
Nevertheless, can humanity, be— only body?

Is humanity complete to live with extensions?
How about his life through intuitions?

O! No. Humanity made the greatest mistakes
How on earth he ridicules on his immortal-ness
Almost doing nothing for his soul
With a look attractive and inside foul
O! Humanity, thy soul unclean
No water to heal— the wounds upon thee
No drug for you to be healthy.
Yea, humanity—worked a lot, for millennia
Just for the body
And killed you mercilessly.

But, his deeds has boomeranged
And start to slay his own flesh
For he killed his soul in darkness
But in broad light to splash—his blood
As the blinders guided him to the wilderness.

Man claiming industrialized and modern but turned a living corpse
Beat—heat and breathless………………………………………....
That sways to the direction of the wind
With Smartphones but without Smartsouls

Humanism and Beastlization

I feel sorrow, yet shame in the perpetrators of this sadistic, and barbaric act. Human being already bestlized himself.

The first ever history, in so called modern times that blacks against blacks raise heavy hands.

Ethiopians like many other African nations were at the front line when white minorities xenophobia grew into racial policy and segregated the people of S. Africa. Our Emperor Haile-Selassie trained and made Mandella a solider for his country. But they paid back like this, though this body is Ethiopians or Nigerians or Zimbabwean, it makes no difference. It shows then South Africans hatred for themselves. I know there would be many south Africans who are against this barbaric act, and they need to condemn this act in teh srongest terms possibe. And should find out why it grow in south Afria, because inequality, unemployment, foreign workers are everywhere.

Washa Micheal

Washa Micheal, Addis Ababa, a monolithic rock-hewn church.
Photo feature  by worku Belachew

Various sources revealed for it was built during King Ezana, while He and His brother Syzana administrated Ethiopia and other places presently known us  including N. Somalia, Djibouti, Kenya... []and it was built in 320AD. King Dawit also made his palace at Arrat mountain and worshiped here.

The amazing carving of the rock tells how Ethiopians also pioneered architecture.

The gate of this church also tells the precision of Ethiopians during that time which the Europeans called it "barbaric", proved wrong their barbaric term itself.

People seem not to understand the historical, social, economic and political value of the rock-hewn church, and are scratching it with nails to carve their names on the walls.

Due to lack of care, herbs have grown on the church, and some of them with long roots, enough to ruin the building.

This heritage is not only for Addis Ababa, Ethiopia and Ethiopians, It is world's heritage, But have been ignored to much.

Ethiopians Carved the rock from top to bottom like that of Lalibella.

A certain engineer attempted to revive the rock hewin chuch but he did not manage to complete it due to disagreement with authorities in the church.
